Edward Douglas Vaughn, USAF (Retired)
August 19, 1942 – August 15, 2002

CLINTON — Edward Douglas Vaughn, 59, died Thursday, August 15, 2002 at his home from an extended illness. He was born August 19, 1942 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Raymond E. and Genevieve Aguirre Vaughn. He married Sandra A. Walling on April 15, 1961.

Ed was educated in Ogden, Utah and attended Ogden High School. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force in August 1984, after 20 years of service. He was decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroism in Military Operations in Southeast Asia in 1968. He retired from Hill AFB as a Computer Specialist in 1999.

Ed loved boating, fishing and camping with his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV.

He is survived by his wife of Clinton, aunts, uncles, cousins and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a daughter. He will be missed deeply and remembered by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at 11 a.m., at Leavitt”s Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Friends may call at Leavitt”s on Monday, August 19, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment at Leavitt”s Aultorest Memorial Park.
